Permanent hair removal
michaeljohn medispa offers the latest breakthrough in pain-free permanent hair removal using Soprano XL technology.



The Service
For men and women alike, at michaeljohn you can look forward to confidential and discreet treatment by a highly skilled practitioner. A consultation prior to any treatment ensures that the client's concerns and expectations are discussed and met.

For permanent hair removal, a total of six sessions are recommended with the Soprano XL method, although this may differ according to the individual.

How it works
The Soprano XL laser module disables the hair follicles by safely and gently heating the dermis to a specific temperature.This ensures no hair regrowth and permanent hair reduction.

The laser works in a sweeping motion meaning that large areas of the body can be covered without missing any patches; the treatment is therefore particularly effective for legs, arms, backs and stomachs.

The Soprano XL technology for permanent hair removal can be used indiscriminately on all hair colours and skin types, even on sensitive skin.

Skin Tightening

The same Soprano XL technology used for permanent hair removal can also be used within the michaeljohn range of skin tightening treatments. These treatments are for either the face or body to renew collagen and ultimately 'tighten' skin and improve its appearance. Perfect for post-pregnancy skin, jowls, wrinkles, bingo wings or any loose, sagging or unsightly areas of skin.

How it works
The Soprano XL Near-Infrared Laser Skin Tightening light sweeps over the chosen area, deeply penetrating the skin tissue and heating the water content within the skin. This causes the skin to contract and look tighter. This also stimulates collagen production as the body begins to naturally heal itself which then plumps skin.

The result
Whilst there will be an immediate improvement in the skin's appearance, the results of the collagen production can take up to 4 months to see optimum improvement. You can expect long lasting results including improved colour and tone, smoothness and luminosity.

The michaeljohn skin rejuvenation treatments are effective for targeting visible skin pigmentation caused by prolonged sun exposure such as age spots, wrinkles, broken blood vessels and also acne, psoriasis, thread veins and scarring. There is no need for injections, fillers or recovery time.



How it works
The non-invasive procedure uses Harmony XL AFT Pulsed Light to penetrate the layers of the skin whilst the accompanying heat impairs the imperfect area and the body begins the natural healing process.

The result
Wrinkles and lines become less deep or may disappear altogether and overall skin tone is improved.

Acne Treatment
This effective, pain-free treatment is performed in conjunction with the Harmony XL Laser.



How it works
Blue wavelengths target the acne bacteria, destroying it without damaging the surrounding tissue.
The treatment is very quick, lasting only a few minutes each session.

The result
A course of 6 treatments over two weeks is recommended. Three times faster than common antibiotics and topical cream, patients should achieve 80% clearance, although results may differ.
